Chili Powder is a trinket added in the initial release of Fiend Folio.
Effects
- Chili Powder will transform all
Keys and their variants into 
Spicy Keys.
- Spicy Keys yield 2 keys upon being picked up, but will hurt Isaac for half of a heart.
Key Rings will be transformed into 
Super Spicy Keys, which are worth 3 keys.
Charged Keys will be transformed into 
Charged Spicy Keys, which are worth 2 keys and also fully recharge your currently held active item.
Notes
Golden Keys, and Spicy Keys not created by Chili Powder, will not be affected.- Dropping Chili Powder will revert all Spicy Keys transformed by the trinket to their previous form.
- Will have no effect on Spicy Keys not created by Chili Powder.
Interactions
Humbleing Bundle: As some Keys will be turned into Key Rings, they will subsequently turn into Super Spicy Keys.
Trinket Multipliers: With one trinket multiplier effect active, Keys, Key Rings and Charged Keys will be transformed into extra-hot versions of Super Spicy Keys, 
Quadruple Super Spicy Keys and 
Super Charged Spicy Keys, respectively. When these types of keys are picked up, they will always hurt Isaac for a full heart of damage.
- Having more than 2 trinket multipliers will have no additional effect.
- If a all trinket multiplier effects are removed, all extra-hot variants of Super Spicy Key will be reverted back to normal Spicy Keys.
The Wafer: Damage dealt by extra-hot versions of Super Spicy Keys, and damage dealt past Chapter 4 or 
Ascent will only deal half of a heart of damage to Isaac.
Key Bum: Key Bum will pick up Spicy Keys without harm, and will count as their respective value.
Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Chili Powder rerolls it into 
Extra Vessel.
Trivia
- Spicy Keys are a reference to an illustration posted by Will Laren on Tumblr[1] and Flickr[2], where a man gives his brother "the spicy keychain" by making him pick up very hot keys he had heated up in the oven.
- This is also referenced in a unique floor transition dream sequence added in Fiend Folio.
- Chili Powder's appearance, being a substance in a plastic bag, is inspired by Breaking Bad.
